This yoga retreat is suitable for those of you who have had a little or lot of yoga experience and I am really looking forward to working with you on whatever level you are at.  If you haven’t done yoga before, but are generally fit and active, then this retreat will be fine for you.

I have 17 years of teaching experience and love to work with students at all levels.  My classes have many options to choose from, so everyone can feel comfortable working at their own level, without any pressure. If you are unsure of anything, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

My husband and I attended a 6 day/5 night yoga retreat with Julie Stephens in Bali. It was a truly incredible experience! Julie is a wonderful teacher with so much experience that providing options for individuals of different levels just comes naturally to her. She also has a way of making you feel instantly at ease and created such a welcoming atmosphere that our group felt like family. I found the retreat with Julie so inspiring that I now practice daily, something I have never managed to keep up before. If you are looking for someone to guide and inspire you on your yoga journey, look no further!

Yoga in Bali

Saturday, 2 September
Check-in 2pm
Welcoming talk and orientation 3.30pm
Restorative practice 4-6pm
Dinner 6.30pm

Sunday, 3 September
A tea or fresh juice will be delivered to your room at 7am
Practice (meditation, pranayama and  asana) 7.30 – 9.30am
Breakfast from 9.45am.

A day out exploring beautiful Ubud, a melting pot of colour and culture. You could visit monkey forest, enjoy a nice lunch at one of the many amazing wholefood cafes and have a wander through the local markets.

Our afternoon practice will be from 4 – 6pm
Dinner will be from 6.30pm.

Monday, 4 September
A tea or fresh juice will be delivered to your room at 6.15am
Practice 6.30 – 8.15am.
Pick up by Greenbike Tours at 8.45am (includes breakfast and lunch) 

This is a great way to see traditional Balinese country side, local villages and get a fantastic view of Mt Kintemani (extinct volcano). Breakfast will be at a Balinese coffee plantation where you will get to enjoy a traditional coffee or a variety of herbal teas.  Your guide will take you on a tour of the plantation and show you how the coffee is traditionally processed.

If you would like to enjoy more of a relaxing day (instead of the bike tour) then you are free to indulge in a 60min spa treatment of your choice (included in your yoga package price).
Evening practice will begin from 5.30 – 6.30pm (a gentle stretch class to compliment  a day on the bike)
Dinner will be from 6.45pm.

Tuesday,  5 September
A tea or fresh juice will be delivered to your room at 7am
Practice will begin from 7.30 – 9.30am
Todays event will be learning how to cook traditional Balinese cuisine.
Evening practice will begin 4 – 6pm.
Dinner will be from 6.15pm.

Wednesday, 6 September
A tea or fresh juice will be delivered to your room at 7am
Practice 7.30 – 9.30am.
Breakfast from 9.45am.
An adventurous day visiting the famous terraced rice paddy fields and Tegenungan waterfall.
Evening practice will begin at 4 – 5.30pm.
Dinner at  6.30pm

Thursday, 7 September
A tea or fresh juice will be delivered to your room at 7am
Practice 7.30 – 9.30am.
Breakfast from 9.45am.
Check out after breakfast or enjoy a bit of down time by the pool.

Please note; All day excursions are optional, so if you are after more of a relaxed yoga retreat, reading a good book by the pool, indulging in spa treatments etc, this is totally fine.

Also, the above times may vary a little, depending on daily excursions, traffic and the famous “Bali time”.
