This yoga class is taught in more of a traditional style with meditation and pranayama to begin with, followed by a free style flow asana practice.
It is an opportunity to take your practice to the next level, physically and mentally. When we are challenged physically it gives us the opportunity to drop into our ujjayi breath, create the space and hold the pose (asana) with a neutral mind. It is up to the individual to find his/her edges sensibly to avoid injury.
For many, it may seem so called “advanced asanas” are a bit of a circus act and this is true for some. For others, perhaps more experienced, it is an opportunity to explore new edges with a steady mind without reaction or attachment. This is the essence of yoga. What appears on the outside is not always the same as what is going on, on the inside. Be patient and allow whatever needs to unfold, unfold. You are exactly where you need to be .
