This New Beginners Yoga class will be on Thursday nights from 6-7 pm with Julie Stephens at the Hot Yoga Studio on Nile St.
If you have been wanting to start yoga classes but haven’t been able to find any outside of working hours, then here’s your chance.
The focus of this yoga class will be on the foundation of yoga, such as alignment of asanas (postures), using yoga props (blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets), in the right supportive way and is especially designed for those who have never practiced yoga before, or for those who have stopped practicing for a while and need a refresher.
Julie encourages not just fresh beginners to join, but also longtime yoga practitioners to occasionally step back into a beginners mind, which is often the best!
It is a great way to start your yoga journey, as it will set you up with the tools you need in order to maintain a safe, enjoyable practice free from injury. It is also a great class to attend if you are presently dealing with any structural or muscular issues.
You can feel comfortable and at ease in Julie’s classes, with no pressure or competition.
